After you have signed up with CommPeak, a few more steps are necessary to start making calls.
You need to install a softphone application or IP phone and configure it to work with your SIP account.
1. SIP Account Credentials
As soon as you complete the signup procedure, you will know that one SIP account is already available to you. You will also see your default SIP Account credentials.
Changing Your Credentials (Optional)
If you want to change your default credentials, proceed as follows:
- Click SIP ACCOUNTS at the bottom of the greeting window.
- You will be transferred to the SIP Accounts tab of your account setup page.
To see your credentials, click SHOW CREDENTIALS. Your username and password will be displayed, separated with a colon.
Click the Edit icon .
In the window that opens, on the AUTHENTICATION tab, enter your new username and password, and click SAVE CHANGES.
2. Adding a New SIP Account
If you need VoIP services to be used by several agents, you can create more SIP accounts at the CommPeak user portal.
To add a new SIP account:
Click Setup in the left pane and expand the SIP Accounts tab.
You will see the number of active/available SIP accounts in the SIP Accounts box.
Click on the plus sign next to the box.
In the form displayed, enter the username and password in the AUTHENTICATION tab and fill in other fields, using prompts.
Click SAVE CHANGES.
Your new account is created.
