CommPeak SIP Account Setup

As soon as you complete the signup to the CommPeak user portal, you will know that one SIP account is already available to you. You will also see your default SIP Account credentials.

If you want to change your default credentials, proceed as follows:

  1. Click SIP ACCOUNTS at the bottom of the greeting window.
    You will get to the SIP Accounts tab of your account setup page. 
  2. To see your credentials, click SHOW CREDENTIALS. Your username and password will be displayed, separated with a colon.
  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. In the window that opens, go to the AUTHENTICATION tab. Leave the toggle on the Password authentication option and enter your new username and password. Then click SAVE CHANGES.

Adding More SIP Accounts

If you need VoIP services to be used by several agents, you can create more SIP accounts. 

To add a new SIP account:

  1. Click Setup in the left pane and expand the SIP Accounts tab. 

  2. You will see the number of active/available SIP accounts in the SIP Accounts box.
    Click on the plus sign next to the box and in the Create SIP Account page that opens, fill in the fields as described below.


NameEnter the name for your SIP account.
Channel LimitEnter the channel limit for your SIP account. The maximum channel limit you can use is specified under the field.
Default tech. prefixLeave the default value.


Here you can set the phone number to display to the terminating party for calls outgoing from this SIP account.

If you have a trial account, you are limited to the phone number you have used for CommPeak signup. To use other numbers for calling, please top up your account.

This tab allows you to set how you convert the recordings of your calls to text: enable the feature, select the transcription languages and the sides of the call to transcribe, and create speech recognition rules.

Leave the default values in this section.


In this section, you can set the authentication type for your SIP account. 

Use the toggle to switch between the password authentication and IP authentication: 

  • In case of password authentication, specify the username and password you are going to use for this SIP account.

    Optionally, you can add extra authentication with an IP ACL (access control list) - specify one or more IPs from which you can access the SIP account with these credentials.

  • If you select IP authentication, specify the IPs allowed to access this SIP account.
The CommPeak user portal allows applying IP authentication to static IP addresses only. More IP access setup options are available to the Cloud PBX and CommPeak Dialer users.

After completing the setup, click SAVE CHANGES.

Your new account is created.

To edit a SIP account, click the Edit button on the needed SIP account line.
