To test your sound quality, adjust your microphone and headset settings, set your ringtone and sounds, and make other settings, click SETTINGS at the bottom of the screen and choose the needed option in the menu that appears.

Click the ellipsis button and select Settings. The settings menu will open in the full mode.
Test Call
- Click Test call to check your sound quality.
- A test call will start and you will be able to hear how your voice sounds.
Auto-Answer Calls
The feature allows agents to set a time limit, after which their softphone device will automatically answer an incoming phone call.
NOTE
The Auto-Answer feature can only be activated for one SIP account at a time.
On the tab, you will see the auto-answer status.
To turn on the auto-answer feature, expand the tab and use the Auto-Answer Calls toggle.
Then, on the new line that appears, set the number of seconds after which incoming calls will be auto-answered.
SIP Accounts
Click ADD ANOTHER ACCOUNT to add more SIP Accounts.
Then select a color that will identify this SIP account and calls made through it in the call history. Add the account name and enter SIP credentials from the CommPeak user portal as described in the Logging in to Softphone article. Then save changes.
You can have up to five SIP accounts and switch between them when making calls.
Here you also have options for fixing the disconnection issue for your SIP accounts:
- Click the RECONNECT button to try to connect your SIP account again
- Download error logs to share them with our support
- Delete the SIP account
Microphone & Headset Settings
Click Microphone & Headset Settings to adjust your input and output sound and set noise suppression.
To change the microphone settings:
- Select the Microphone & Headset option.
- Select the Input Volume option.
To change the headset settings:
- Select the Microphone & Headset option.
- Select the Output Volume option.
To change noise suppression settings:
- Select the Noise Suppression option.
- Choose if to enable noise suppression for the incoming audio stream by switching the toggle at the bottom of the screen.
If the toggle is off, noise suppression works for the agent's side (outgoing audio) only.
If it is on, the feature works for both the agent's and the customer's audio. - Choose one of the options for noise suppression:
- High - A technology for efficient noise removal from audio streams
- Basic - Built-in browser noise suppression abilities
- Disabled - No noise cancellation
Ringtone & Sounds
In the Ringtone & Sounds section, you can select your ringtone, the device that will play it, and modify other sound settings.
To select the ringtone:
- Select the Ringtone & Sounds option.
- In the list that opens, choose the tone you like.
To choose the device to play the ringtone:
- Click the field under Play ringtone from.
- In the list that opens, select the device in the list displayed.
Updates
In the Updates section, you can check recent release notes on Softphone to stay updated.
Technical Details
In the Technical Details section, you can find information about your PBX, IP, extension, port, ping/jitter, and the Softphone version.
DTMF Types
In the DTMF Types section, you can choose any of the dual-tone multi-frequency signaling (DTMF) types that CommPeak Softphone supports: RFC2833, SIP INFO, Inband.
Language
In the Language section, it is possible to switch the language of your Softphone. Besides English, Russian and Spanish are available too.
