Logging in to CommPeak Softphone

The first thing you need to do before using CommPeak Softphone is to get your login information. 

You have three options:

  • Connect with your login, password, and domain from PBX stats
  • Sign in using SIP credentials from your account at the My CommPeak portal
  • Specify your Dialer username and password

Follow these steps to find relevant data and start your work:

Option 1: Agent Credentials from PBX Stats

  1. Go to PBX Stats —> Configuration —> Agents
    On this page, data in the Login column corresponds to the User field in Softphone.
    To find out the password:
    1. Click Reset Password column in the Password column and proceed.
    2. Copy the password in the following window.
  2. Start the CommPeak Softphone application. In the start window that opens, fill in the fields as follows:
    • User: enter data from the Login column.
    • Password: enter data from the Password column, and if you want to save the password, select the checkbox below. 
    • Domain: specify your domain name followed by .stats.pbx.commpeak.com.   
      To save the entered data, select the Save SIP account info for next login checkbox. 
  3. Click the LOGIN & START CALLING button.

Option 2: SIP Credentials from My CommPeak

  1. In your account at my.commpeak.com, go to Setup —> SIP Accounts

  2. Find the necessary account and click SHOW to show Username/IP. If you forgot the password, click Reset Password to get an email with a reset link. 
  3. Start the CommPeak Softphone application. In the start window that opens, fill in the fields as follows:
    • User: fill in data from the Username/IP field.
    • Password: enter your SIP account password. 
    • Domain:
      • specify your desired regional domain to which you want to log in, e.g. useast.sip.commpeak.com
      • or enter sip.commpeak.com and it will detect your region automatically.
        To save the entered data, select the Save SIP account info for next login checkbox.
  4. Click the LOGIN & START CALLING button.

Option 3: Dialer Credentials

New in 2023/10/01 Release CommPeak Softphone is now available in the Dialer.

IMPORTANT

To use the softphone with your CommPeak Dialer account, make sure that for your user, the Use WebRTC option is chosen in SIP Settings.

  1. Log in to your Dialer account.
  2. The Softphone window will pop up automatically, and you can start calling.
